Medications in Pregnancy: Risks of premature birth, congenital malformations, and healthcare costs.
Our objectives were to conduct a series of retrospective studies utilising data available in the Quebec Pregnancy Registry. We completed studies investigating the associations between the use of medications, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or statins in early pregnancy and the risks of congenital malformations. Other themes of our research project were to identify and quantify risk factors associated with preterm birth and to evaluate the healthcare costs of late preterm and term infants during their initial years of life.
